Say NO to “Say CHEESE!”
My approach to photography has nothing to do with setting up the shot. I rarely tell you to look at the camera, turn your head this way, smile bigger, pose here or there….I’m all about real life. I want to capture a moment in time- you and your baby gazing lovingly into each other eyes; the love of your life laughing with you over some stupid joke; kids playing on the swings at the park; and if your kid decides to throw a tantrum or spill apple juice on themselves during their shoot, you can guarantee that I’ll get photos of that as well. It’s all part of the experience!
I’m also all about FUN. I want you to come home from your photoshoot saying “I can’t believe how much FUN we had!” I want your kids to be excited about the next time we do photos. I want everyone to look forward to photoshoots instead of dreading them. And this is more than just my job: this is my passion, and I ALWAYS have fun.
PORTRAIT SESSIONS:
I love photographing everything…families, couples, engagements, seniors, boudoirs, head shots; I have a passion for it all! This is how I roll: Imagine a place where you spend a lot of time. Imagine a place that is very special to you. If you are doing engagement pictures, think of a place that just screams “you and your fiancé.” For family portraits, think of your favorite place to go with your family. If you are a senior, imagine your favorite hideaway to get away from the parents….this is where we want to do your photoshoot! Let’s go take a walk through the city! Let’s go horseback riding, to a skateboard park, to the zoo, to the beach, to an old abandoned barn…to whatever location means the most to you. Use your imagination! Let’s go out and have a blast…and get amazing portraits done at the same time!
Here’s what a portrait session includes (does not include newborns. See below):
*A one hour photoshoot at the location of your choice
*30-40 beautifully edited photos
*A password protected online gallery of your images with complimentary downloads
*A complimentary disc of fully edited, high resolution photos with printing rights
After your photoshoot (and once I am done editing your images) I post the pictures in a password protected album on my website so you can view your photos from the comfort of your own home. You can also download the photos from this album, because let’s face it, you want those photos ASAP so you can post them to your Facebook. From there, you can order any prints that you would like, and even pay for them online through Paypal. Feel free to share your password with your friends and family so that they can log on to view and order their own pictures.
All portrait shoots are $375.00 an hour. Price includes tax. Prints are priced separately. Payment is due at the time of the photoshoot. Please allow 3-4 weeks for editing.
NEWBORN SESSIONS (0-12 days old):
Babies are so unpredictable. Naptimes, feedings, crying, more naps, more feedings…all of these things make newborn photography a whole different ballgame than other photoshoots. (Also, there’s a lot of poop involved. I can’t TELL you how many times I’ve been pooped on during a newborn session. My job is so glamorous.) For this reason, I have priced them differently. You will receive:
*A minimum 2 hour session
*20-25 beautifully edited photos
*A password protected online viewing gallery with complimentary downloads
*A complimentary disc of images with printing rights
These sessions can be done in your home, in my home, or at a location of your choice. I will bring all my backdrops and props, as well as utilize your favorite outfits, props, and items around your home. (I once had a client place her baby in her daddy’s tool bucket for a photo. I had another client lay the baby on top of his mom’s childhood Bible for a photo. So cute!)
After your rockin’ photoshoot, I painstakingly edit each picture. You will get a variety of edits, including black and white, vintage, eye pops, skin clearing and much more.
Once I am done editing, I post the pictures in a password protected album on my website so you can view your photos from the comfort of your own home. (Because let’s face it: after you’ve had a baby, the LAST thing you wanna do is leave the house. New mommies are usually grateful if they even get a shower that day, let alone try and get dressed.) From here, you can order any prints that you would like, and even pay for them online through Paypal. Feel free to share your password with your friends and family so that they can log on to view and order their own pictures.
