Let me start this off by saying that I apologize for the ridiculous vomitus MASS of photos you are about to view on this blog. But really, I could NOT narrow it down to less that this. Almost every shot was my favorite…this wedding was THAT great.

Jolena and Reece have been friends since they were 8 years old. They were on again/off again for years, but whether they were dating or not, they always remained friends. I think that’s what makes their relationship so special: FRIENDSHIP. They truly adore each other. The coolest thing is how Reece has taken in Jolena’s daughter as if she were his own. They have a really special bond; as it was said in one of the toasts during the reception, “Reece is a perfect father figure to Elsie…he’s the only one that has enough energy to keep up with her.”

The wedding was held at Fairwood Golf Course in Renton….GOROGEOUS!

I had so much fun shooting Jolena and Reece’s rings…almost a little TOO MUCH fun. I think I have more ring shots that I have photos of the bride and groom!

First Look…

And the next few shots proves that Jolena and Reece are the coolest couple EVER…After their first look photos, we headed down to a local Laundromat for photos. Yes, I did say LAUNDROMAT.

Jolena and Reece: We had such a blast shooting your wedding. You guys were such a hoot, and we just adore you! Congratulations!!!!!

I’ve had a lot of fun birthdays. We usually do something fun, throw a cool party, go someplace awesome…I usually have a blast.

Still, nothing compares to my last birthday. My best friend Jesse had the opportunity to interview one of my favorite authors, Robert Fulghum for a school project. I got to come along as her photographer, and had to try to not jump up and down with glee like a 3 year old. You might have read the amazing book All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten. If you haven’t, BUY IT AND READ IT NOW. It’ll make you smile, it’ll make you cry, it’ll make you happy, it’ll make you ponder. Robert is a fantastic storyteller who sees the world quite differently than the rest of the world does. He is truly a nice guy, too…he bought Jesse and I breakfast and treated us like we were queens! *happy sigh.

Here are the shots I got of Jesse interviewing Robert. Can you tell she was a little smitten?

We met at Lowell’s Restaurant in Pikes Place Market because, as Robert claims, they have the best bacon in town.

He was right.

He was full of emotion when he told his story of having the opportunity to conduct the Minneapolis Chamber Orchestra.

Robert signed both mine and Jesse’s copy of “All I Ever Need to Know.” It’s one of my most precious possessions.

Robert: You are an absolute treasure..keep being you, and never stop gracing the world with your wonderful stories. You made our birthday the best one yet!
