So, since I first started my business 5 years ago, my email address has been sarah@sarahalstonphotography.com.
Try typing that out.
3 times fast.
Now try WRITING that out.
Over and over.
It’s a loooonngggggg email address. Most of the time when I’m filling out a form or giving someone my info, my email address won’t fit on the line, and I have to squish it into the margin of the paper and it becomes illegible. I don’t even bother giving stores my email address to get cool coupons anymore…the store clerks just look at me like I’ve lost my mind and then make ME type it in.
My husband and I were trying to come up with cool new shorter email addresses…and promptly drew blanks. All of the normal stuff I would choose is already taken: sarah@sarahsphotos.com , sarah@sarahalston.com, sarah@saphotos.com, etc. (Yes, there is another Sarah Alston Photography out there in this big world…and she took all the easy email addresses!!!)
So I’m thinking I’m gonna have to be a little more creative with this new, shortened email address. And I’m having a heck of a time thinking of something that is:
a) representative of who I am as a person/photographer
b) 20 characters or shorter (including the @ and .com)
c) still somewhat professional
d) NOT ALREADY TAKEN!
My solution for this? I’m asking you guys for help! Post in the comment section of this blog (below) with your suggestion for an email address that fits the criteria listed above. Now if it’s taken I can’t help you there. I think your most memorable quality is that gorgeous smile you have though so people can remember that email and think of you easily =)
