WITH ASA AND ARIANNA ALSTON
FATHER’S DAY 2012
1) What makes Dad happy?
Arianna-“Spicy food.”
Asa- “Video games.”
2) How does Dad make you laugh?
Arianna-“When he’s trying to be cool, but he’s really NOT.”
Asa- “When he tells his funny jokes.”
3) What does Dad do when you’re not around?
Arianna-“I dunno. I haven’t really been around him that much when I’m not around.”
Asa- “Plays video games and eats a lot, probably.”
4) What is Dad really good at?
Arianna- “He’s really good at computers and staying calm when he’s actually really mad.”
Asa- “He’s really good at math and video games and computers.”
5)What is Dad not very good at?
Arianna- “He’s not really bad at anything…”
Asa- “Ummm…I can’t think of anything!”
6) What does Dad do for a job?
Arianna- “Computer things…I’m not sure. A programmer???”
Asa- “He works with computers and fixes them.”
7) If Dad were a cartoon character, who would be be?
Arianna- “Batman. Because he doesn’t have any actual superpowers, but he’s still really cool.”
Asa- “Bugs Bunny because he can out-wit anyone he knows.”
How are you and Dad the same?
Arianna- “We both are really smart, and we both like technology.”
Asa- “We look almost exactly the same. We both love video games and Legos.”
9) How are you and Dad different?
Arianna- “I love animals, and he really doesn’t like them.”
Asa- “He’s really tall. And I have hair.”
10) How do you know Dad loves you?
Arianna- “When I go to school in the morning, he gives me a kiss (even though it’s embarrassing), and at night too. And he’s always telling me he loves me.”
Asa- “He hugs me all the time and cuddles with me. He gives me presents, and tells me he loves me.”
11) What does Dad love most about Mom?
Arianna- “Her personality.”
Asa- “Her big bum.”
12) What is something Dad always says?
Arianna- “So’s your face” and “Not a Ninja” and “I hate that dog.”
Asa- “I baked you a muffin” and “Sos’s your face” and “Why do I ALWAYS step in it first????”
13) What is something Dad has taught you?
Arianna- “When you toot in the car, you MUST roll down the window.”
Asa- “He taught me math and science. And he also taught me ‘Do or Do Not, there is no ‘try’ “
14) What is your favorite memory of Dad?
Arianna- “When I was littler, Dad and I were taking a walk together. He didn’t see that there was a stop sign at the corner, and he just walked right smack dab into it. It was really funny.”
Asa- “The first time I caught a fish. When we gutted it, he taught me all about the insides and what they do and how they work.”
15) Why is Dad the best Dad in the world?
Arianna- “He really cares about me, and he sacrifices everything. For example, he really wanted to be the person that baptized me when I turned 8 years old, so he started going to church regularly, just for me. It made me feel really loved. He’s really kind and cool and funny.”
Asa- “He spends a lot of time with us. Sometimes he’ll even take a day off just to be with us and cuddle us. He makes me laugh and he always comforts us when we’re sad.”
