I love the Meeker Mansion in downtown Puyallup. I loved driving by it as a kid…I just thought it was SO pretty! Imagine how excited I was when I found out that Jessica and Brian were getting married there! Pretty pumped!
I also love Jessica and Brian. We sort of knew each other in high school (and yes, they were dating then, too! HOW CUTE!), and hadn’t really talked since graduation, but when Jessica was looking for a wedding photographer, she contacted me. It was a match made in heaven when Sam and I met up with them for their adorable Engagement Photos. Brian and Jessica are every bit as sweet as they were in high school, and we just laugh and laugh the whole time we are with them. I’m so blessed to have a career that brings me in contact with so many amazing people, both new and from my past.
The wedding day dawned a rainy, dreary day. Amazingly, though, the sky lightened up and it stopped raining long enough for us to hold the ceremony outdoors as planned.
Check out Jessica’s beautiful HANDMADE dress!

This shot is through a keyhole…yeah, I was pretty proud of it….

Don’t be confused by all of the similar looking men in the wedding party…Brian is an identical twin, and he and Brian’s older brother were his groomsmen in the wedding.

Jessica and Brian decided that since they had been together for so long, instead of having Jessica’s Dad “give her away”, they walked each other down the isle. Isn’t that so sweet?

Jessica has the funniest facial expressions…

FIST PUMP!!!!!

They handed out caramel apples for everyone to much on right after the ceremony. SO YUM!!! I think I’m still cleaning the sticky off of my camera…

After the wedding, someone was supposed to pull up their car for them to drive to the reception. Instead, Brian’s twin surprised them by renting them this 2011 Chevy Camaro for the day. SO COOL!

A gift to Brian from Jessica’s step-mom:

First dance started out sweet…

…then turned into a Smörgåsbord of crazy dances with various songs. They did the Chicken Dance…

…Cotton-eyed Joe…

…the Macarena…

…Kung Fu Fighting….

…and the Dance of the Sugarplum Fairies.

Jessica and Brian, I’m so glad that we’ve reconnected and started a brand new friendship after all these years. Thank you for letting us be a part of your big day…we love you guys!!!!
