Yes PWNED. I wasn’t really familiar with the term until recently, and to be honest, I’m STILL not cool enough to be exactly sure what it means. Or maybe I’m not geeky enough, depending on how you look at it. I guess it’s some sort of video-game-slang-word for “owned”. Google it.
Either way, Danielle and Mike’s big day turned out to be a gorgeous Saturday, and Sam and I were so thrilled to be a part of it. Mike and Danielle are two of our favorite clients, and have quickly moved past the “client” phase and are officially “friends.” Geez, I LOVE it when that happens!
Danielle and her girls got ready at a hotel in DuPont. We had plenty of time to get some rocking detail and getting ready shots. Danielle’s dress was HAND MADE for her by her family in the Philippines. HAND FREAKING MADE! Can you imagine all the time this must’ve taken?

Her hairpiece was hand made as well…I’m getting dizzy just THINKING about the hours that were put into this!
Her shoes, on the other hand, were NOT handmade…Danielle rocked these awesome Jimmy Choos!
Mike and Danielle had a lot of traditional Filipino rituals in their wedding. This rope signifies the couple being tied together eternally.
This moneybag signifies the man’s dedication to always financially support his family.

Mike wore a fabulous Barong as his wedding attire.

And Danielle held a Catholic Rosary in her hand during the whole ceremony.
Vashta did an awesome job on the girl’s hair…

And Athena did a fantastic job on the gir’ls’s makeup.

It’s limo time, baby!!!

A “little” gift from Mike before the ceremony…

Danielles dance with her father had EVERYONE in tears….so sweet!!
The day was so busy that we didn’t get around to doing their formal photos until after the reception…turns out it was perfect because our lighting was wonderful!!

Have fun watching this slide show from the day!
Also, make sure you check out the slide show from Mike and Danielle’s Photobooth at their reception!
