Oh yeah, it’s THAT TIME AGAIN! Firefighters from all around the world will don their firefighting gear and trek up 69 flights of stairs for the annual Scott Firefighter Stairclimb Event. This year there will be 1,500 firefighters gathering at Seattle’s Columbia Tower to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Sam and I were honored to photograph this event last year, and we will be doing it again this year on March 7th.
This is an incredibly emotional event. Many of the firefighters have lost a friend or family members to cancer, and they do the climb in remembrance of their loved one. They also have honored patients that are specially recognized during the event, and just adds to the emotion of the day.
