Well, it’s that time of year when the 4-H clubs are showing off their hard work, the Ferris Wheel is up and running, and the screams of sticky, cotton-candy-elephant-ear-scone-covered children can be heard for miles around Puyallup, Washington. That’s right: it’s The Puyallup Fair time!
I got to be “the cool mom,” and pulled the kids out of school for a day to take them to the fair. Sam, unfortunately, had to work, so it was just a mommy-kiddo day. We had SUCH a blast! We went on a million rides, ate tons of food, and spent some good, quality family time together. It was a long day- got there at 11:00 am and didn’t leave until 10:00 pm. Don’t you wish I was your mom? Seriously?
My good friend Erin let me borrow her 15mm 2.8 fisheye for a few weeks, so of course I lugged it to the fair. What better subjects to use a fisheye on than farm animals? It was too much fun!
I apologize that there are sooo many pictures for this blog, but I just had to share these with you! (plus, my mom just started reading my blog, and I know she’ll want to see these! HI MOM!!!!!)
We started out the day checking out the Farm Animal 4-H section of the fair.

These little piggies were born the day before!

And these little chickies were only a few days old!!!!

Arianna is her mother’s child…we both LOVE animals, and as you can see, they love her, too!!! I just love how all these little chicks are crowded around to see Arianna!

After that, we hit the rides and the carnival games!

The Haunted House ride totally freaked them out.
Probably the funniest picture taken EVER of Arianna….this is in one of the funhouses in the room of mirrors…
How did I land such adorable kiddos???
We hit up the Weird Al Brain Exhibit….it was AWESOME! First you got to watch a 3D movie….
…and then you got to touch a REAL HUMAN BRAIN! It was SO AWESOME!!!!!!

We took the Sky Ride over the fair- the view from up there is beautiful!
Of course we got elephant ears…

Then we got our faces painted!

More rides…..

The Giant Slide:
Caught this shot while I was sitting on the grass waiting for the kids to go on a ride. I swear, I didn’t pose these girls!

We HAD to hit up the Ball Pit!

To end the night, we took the Sky Ride back to the car…I LOVE the fair at night!

If you haven’t “done the Puyallup” yet, it’s not too late! It’s SOOO worth it!!!!
