I met with my friend Jeni and her family a few weeks ago at Tumwater Falls in Olympia for a really fun family shoot. My best friend Jesse came along and offered a ton of inspiration (thanks girl! Muah!) but really, this family would have been cute no matter WHERE we took their photos.
The Gates family is one of those Cosby Show-sweet kind of families. You know the ones I’m talking about…the mom is always wise and patient, the dad is always mushy and kind to his wife and kids, and the kids are ridiculously well adjusted and well behaved. They are the kind of family that you think only can exist on a Disney Chanel movie…but they are REAL! I had such a blast photographing them because of their obvious love for each other.
Tumwater Falls was simply a BEAUTIFUL location. Check out this view from the Falls Terrace Restaraunt located above the falls….just gorgeous!
