They had known each other for a while, but had reconnected at a friends party. Then they started hanging out more often. One night, Kathryn called Adam and told him to look outside at the full moon. He did, and under a full moon over Mt. Rainier that night, he realized that he was in love with her. She noticed the small things that made life special, like a beautiful full moon, and he wanted to share moments like that with her for the rest of his life. A little while later, after proposing to her under a full moon over Mt. Rainier, Adam and Kathryn were engaged!
Kathryn called me a few weeks ago about shooting their wedding. She was looking up pictures of a full moon over Mt. Rainier for her wedding invites, and came across some shots of the moonrise I had done the year before. She then discovered I shoot weddings, and immediately called me. It was a match made in heaven- we just CLICKED! All because of a full moon……
We got together last week for their oober fun engagement shoot. We went out into Auburn and Enumclaw, and had so much fun! My awesome friend Erin (who is also 8 months pregnant!!!!!!!) came and second shot with me. We had SUCH a blast!!!!!
We started out in this huge field under the coolest oak tree EVER! I used to drive by here when I was a little girl and wished that I would one day get married under that tree….

Then we went to this old deteriorating building that I’ve been eyeing for FOREVER for a photoshoot. Not only was the building so amazingly rusty and crusty, but sitting next to it was this FANTASTIC old truck! It was so run down that it’s seats were rotted out of the cab, it had no steering wheel, and there were blackberry bushes growing IN the truck….SO COOL!!!! What a great surprise!

The next two shots were taken by Erin:

This house was SO COOL! It’s known as “Cooper’s Corner” in Enumclaw- it used to be an old Mom and Pop store.

Kathryn and Adam- Thanks for going along with my crazy ideas! I cannot WAIT to shoot your wedding in October!
Erin- thanks for being a great second shooter and an awesome friend! You rock, girl!
