Well, Summer is pretty much over here in the Emerald State…it’s been raining, cold, and school has officially started. Today was my kiddo’s first day…WHEW! As sad as I am about them growing up so fast, I have to say that this summer was preeetttyyyy hard on us here at the Alston household. My kids are very active, busy kiddos, stuck at home all summer…and here I am, working my tail off on my second wedding season. It’s tough balancing a family life on top of owning your own business. But alas, things are looking up- not only are my kids in school (ALL DAY for BOTH of them this year….WOOT!) but I officially have a brand, new OFFICE ASSISTANT!!!!!!!! One of my bestist friends ever, Lacey, agreed to a trade. She will help me organize my office, my business and my life in exchange for watching her 9 month old baby, Luke one day a week. Honestly, I get the better end of the deal. I get my life organized AND I get to spend a day with the cutest, happiest, and most beautiful baby…..besides my own kids, of course!
Anyway, back to the first day of school….last week I purchased this adorable vintage school desk specifically for school pictures.
Of course, I used my kids as guinea pigs with it this morning before school started, and of course I got so caught up in the pictures that my kids were late on the first day of school. *sighhhh…..oh, well, the school is used to me and my tardiness by now…. Anyway, here are my adorable kids with the adorable school desk!

And here is Mr. Asa, going into First Grade this year…and not really thrilled that I am making him do a photoshoot this early in the morning…..
Seriously, can my kids get any cuter? I think they get it from their dad…..
