Yesterday, I took Arianna to our local hair dresser to get her a cool haircut. I knew we wanted something short and sassy for my little mini-model 7 year old. While sitting there, watching her get her hair cut, I looked around and saw some cute hair extensions that were all kinds of cool colors- bright blue, vibrant purple, hot pink… “COOL!” I thought. I knew, though, that there was no way that Arianna would be able to keep her extensions more than 2 days without loosing them. Then, a brilliant idea popped into my head…LET’S DYE IT! I asked her if she’d like to dye streaks in her hair. Arianna looked at me as though I was nuts. She couldn’t believe I was for real…neither could the hair dresser! Before we knew it, my already too-cute daughter had hot pink streaks in her hair!
Yes, it’s permanent, and yes we had to bleach her hair first.

Her cool hair encouraged my sister in law Angie and I to run out and get our hair streaked, too….we both have bright red streaks in our hair! My son, Asa, decided he wants his hair to by dyed black. We’re just a whole cool family!
