I have been needing a new logo for a while, now. Well, actually, I’ve just been needing a logo…I’ve never really had one. I didn’t even know what I wanted, I really had no vision, I just wanted something playful, yet professional.
I found the amazing Erika Jessop a while back on Flickr. She has been one of my Flickr contacts for a while, and I always knew that I wanted her to do my logo. I finally contacted her about my logo…she had her work cut out for her. As an artist, I know how hard it is to try and create something when your client gives you nothing to work with. I had NO CLUE what I wanted in a logo, and she was great at pulling stuff out of nowhere to give me what I wanted. I sent her a rough sketch of how I have signed my name since I was 11 years old- the S in Sarah is drawn with a heart. She was able to take that and run with it. After 41 emails, tons of revisions and MUCH patience on Erika’s part, I am ready to introduce the new logo of Sarah Alston Photography.

If you ever need a logo designer, I would recommend Erika in a heartbeat. Not only does she do logos, but she does AMAZING watercolor paintings of just about anything, and has many other artistic talents. Plus, she’s just a sweetheart!
