Well, it’s been a nutty couple of days. We’ve had some beautiful weather here in Seattle (70 degrees! I’ve missed you, sun!!!!) and I’ve been able to enjoy it by…well…shopping. Indoors. Yup.
Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE shopping…but this was my dilemma: I was looking for a hot sexy dress for Noche de Esperanza tomorrow night and for the Firefighter Stairclimb Awards Ceremony that Sam and I are attending next week. It was very hard finding something that was my size (curvy) that was modest, that was not too dressy, not too casual, and that was in my price range.
After trying on almost 30 dresses, I finally found the dress! It makes me feel very "Carrie Bradshaw" from Sex and the City. (Thanks for making me try it on, Lacey!!) I tried to find a picture of it online, but couldn’t! I’ll have to take one of me in it at the Fundraiser! Now I gotta got get some shoes…
In other news:
Sam started his new job on Tuesday. He loves it! Apparently it’s a huge building and he keeps getting lost, but he’s getting the hang of things.
Tomorrow is Noche de Esperanza….this is going to be SUCH a fun event! I hope to see you guys there, because my salsa dancing skills are off the HOOK!
Next week Sam and I will be attending the Firefighter Stairclimb Awards Ceremony. We are SO EXCITED! It’s going to be held at the top of the Columbia Tower. All of the Firefighters will be in their Class A uniforms….I can’t wait to post pictures!!! EEKK!!!!!
I am in the process of getting a new logo and redesigning the website. It is taking a lot of work to find someone who can do what I want to the site, but I think I’ve finally made a decision. Keep your eyes open for the new look here in the next few months.
Meanwhile my house is trashed because I’ve been working so much. I’m still trying to find that balance between motherhood and a business owner. I’m getting there, but I’ve still got a long road ahead of me. For today, I’ll be happy if I can just get some laundry done and the dishes washed. Pray for me!
